On April 20, 2023, Mr. Ru Jialin, Deputy Director of International Affairs at China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) visited the Embassy of Chile in China, and conducted in-depth discussions with Ms. Natalia Cortes Garcia, Trade Commissioner at the Chilean Embassy.

The two sides exchanged ideas on topics including the latest developments of PV industries in China and Chile, and business cooperation between the two countries’ enterprises, etc. Ms. Natalia noted that Chile supports the development of renewable energies, including photovoltaics, and is determined to realize 70% of total power generation by renewable energies by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Chinese enterprises investing in Chile will enjoy the same treatment with local companies.

The CPIA and the Chilean Embassy agreed to hold more conversations to strengthen communication and enhance cooperation between the two sides and between the two countries’ PV enterprises.
